WHY GO TO CHURCH

Text: Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
God has provided everything we need to have victorious lives.
God has set things in order to accomplish his will in our lives. When we comply with his teachings we will benefit from them. Let's look at God's order.
Ephesians 4:11-12 New International Version (NIV)
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,
12 To equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
Apostles, One sent forth To establish churches.
Prophets, One, who speaks on God's behalf. One who prophesies
             Evangelists, Preacher, preachers the gospel.
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed, and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard, and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Pastors, Shepherds, care for the flock.

Teachers, Explains the word of God.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
How do we receive rest?  We begin with faith, then faith brings hope hope brings peace and peace brings rest.

We learn from teachers
Matthew 28:20 New English Translation (NET Bible)
20 teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Job description for pastors
1 Peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.     Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.                                                                                                                                             And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Response
Hebrews 13:17  Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Goals
Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Church prepares herself
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

            Ephesians 6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
