ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT

Text: Matthew 7:3-5 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

John 8:1-11 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
             Bible study.
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst.
They had no respect for God's word being taught.
They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.             This wasn't the time or the place for this.
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
             What did he wright?
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Apparently they all had heart trouble.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Jesus didn't give her permission to sin.

1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within?

Christians don't get involved in this kind of activity that these Scribes and Pharisees did. Our activity edifies, encourages etc..
Romans 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
2 Corinthians 10:8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed

Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

One of the reasons I like being around other Christians is because they don't go around looking for faults in each other. We notice the good we see in others.
