Psalm 98:4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Worship in spirit and in truth

John 4:19-30 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

What shall I worship?

Deuteronomy 5:7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
Deuteronomy 6:14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you.

Other God's; money, self, sports, personal pride, spouse, etc.…

Anything that is more important than God.

Other gods
Deuteronomy 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded.
Deuteronomy 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

Jeremiah 1:16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

Be ye holy
1 Chronicles 16:29 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Three Hebrew children
Daniel; Chapter three. The fairy furnace, the three Hebrew children.
King Nebuchadnezzar built an image of gold.
At the dedication he commanded everyone to bow down and worship this image.
Everyone in the kingdom bowed down except the three Hebrew children.
The three Hebrew children refused to bow down at the image. They were brought before the king. He was willing to give them a second chance.
These three men said to the king; We don't have to think about this. We will not bow down.
This made the king very angry. He commanded the soldiers to cast these men into the furnace. They made it seven times hotter than it was designed for.
The men that through these men into the furnace were killed from the heat of the furnace. The king saw that these men were not harmed. Their clothes were not burnt, their hair wasn't singed. They didn't even have the smell of smoke on them.
Not only this, but the king saw a fourth man walking with them in the furnace.
The king gave these men a higher position in the kingdom and made a proclamation that no one was allowed to speak in a bad way about the God of the Jews.
