WHAT IS PERFECTION?

Text: a Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

You are here for such a time as this. You are a part of God's plan. God has a job for you that nobody else can do.
Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Requirements for your job.
1. Holiness.
1 Thessalonians 4:1-5 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication. (Adultery, sex outside of marriage, homosexual or any sex act outside of marriage with your spouse. Similar to idolatry).
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
Not in the lust of concupiscence (a longing for what is forbidden, desire, lust), even as the Gentiles which know not God:
2. Thankful.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Too many people in our country are not thankful. They just want more instead of being thankful.
3. Submissiveness.
Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
1 Corinthians 16:15-16 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
16 That ye submit yourselves unto such (those that minister to the saints), and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
Ephesians 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear ofGod
Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. (family order ).
Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
What is my job?
Exodus 4:2 And the Lord said unto him, what is that in thine hand? And he said a rod.
Exodus 4:17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.
Moses rod was used when he talked to Pharaoh, when all the plagues came on Egypt, when he parted the red sea. This rod was used when Israel fought with the Amalekites.
