Satan.
Text: 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Our reward
1 Peter 5:4-10 When the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
Christian attitudes
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
This requires a lot of faith (trust).
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
You are not alone
Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
You will be perfected
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Satan has helpers

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Can you sell your soul?
Charlie Daniels gambled his for a fiddle.
Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Satan started with Adam
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Jesus bought us back
1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
