WHO IS THY MOTHER?

Text: Galatians 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Mark 3:31-35 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him
32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33 And he answered them, saying, who is my mother, or my brethren?
34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, behold my mother and my brethren!                                                                         35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
Sheep and goats
Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. MY BRETHERN does not mean other Jews. It means other Christians.
New Jerusalem
Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
The old Jerusalem was God's headquarters of the OLD TESTAMENT. The NEW JERUSALEM is God's headquarters of the New Testament, the church.
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
          ATTRIBUTES OF A MOTHER
Mothers protect heh children; So does the church?
 1 Kings 3:25-27
1 Kings 3:25-27And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.
26 Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.
27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.

Proverbs 31:10-31
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She is trustworthy
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Her life is about family.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
Mothers work hard for their children.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She sacrifices her own comforts for her family.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
Mothers don't have regular working hours.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
Mothers love others; Naomi loved Ruth like her own daughter.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Mother makes sure that her family is cared for.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
She takes care of herself. She is always presentable.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Mother doesn't say things that embarrass you.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Beauty is only skin deep. Inner beauty always shows.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
