Text: 2 Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair.
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
What is troubling you?
1. Isis, terrorism etc.…
2. Politics, next president etc.…
3. Finances, wages, taxes, Medicare, stock market?
4. Racial unrest, riots, police brutality?
5. Prophecy, tribulation, persecution?
6. Gangs, drive by shootings etc….
2 Corinthians 7:5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
What can we do?
Like in most situations we start with prayer.
We can use our influence. Speak up when we can influence the right point of view.
Don't be critical of people.
Get the facts.
Try to see other people's point of view.
Change what you can.
Pray for what you can't change.
Is this a time for your ministry?
