Text: Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Reasons for differences
1. What were you taught? Tradition etc.…
2. Differences in methods.
a. Literal, based on the actual words in their ordinary meaning.
b. Parables, a short story to teach a moral or spiritual lesson.
c. Symbolism, The representation of things by use of symbols.
d. Metaphoric, a figure of speech in which one thing is likened to another.
e. Figurative, representing one concept in terms of another.
f. Allegory, description of one thing under the image of another.
Subjects to consider
Salvation, no compromise
Holiness, righteous, live without sin
Ministry, serve others
Prophecy, interesting not vital.
Money, necessary
Eternity, being prepared, make sure.
Mosaic law, essential.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
