IS FATHERS JOB COMPLETE?

            Text: Hebrews 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Fathers instructions
            Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Dad the warrior
            Fathers stand at the door to keep the ungodly out. Such as;
Bad movies, drugs, alcohol, wrong king of friends etc…
            Fathers protect the home from the inside to remove the ungodly from the home. Such as; Bad manners, hate, envy, strife, etc…
Fathers are providers
            Food, shelter, recreation, training, education, discipline, etc…

Instruction to children
          6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
            Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.

The results of sin
            What happened to the training children received in Godly homes?
            Children become adults.
            These adults test the waters of sin.
            The waters of sin didn't bring bad results, so they wade out a little deeper.
            After a period of time the result of sin takes its toll.
            Sin will bite like a adder (rattle snake).
Remorse will be overwhelming
            Psalm 137: 1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
            Remember Peter (next page).
            Matthew 26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
If this is me?
            Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
