KEEP ON GIVING
Text: Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Ways to Give
Hungary and ye gave me meat:
Thirsty and ye gave me drink:
A stranger and ye took me in:
                 Naked and ye clothed me:
             Sick and ye visited me:
In prison, and ye came unto me.
Matthew 25: 49 Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
How about it? Do you want to give to Jesus? Maybe you are like those in this scripture. You give to Jesus without even noticing it.
Give the right gift
Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Who will do the giving?
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Receive from whom? Find where? Who will open?
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father.  Will he give him a stone?  If he ask a fish. Will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
God will give his spirit. It doesn't say he will give bread, fish or an egg. God supplies the needs of people through his church( us).
God will supply
As long as Abraham was asking, God kept giving.
What can I do?
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Judges 6:14-16  And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
16 And the Lord said unto him, surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
Be persistent
Luke 11:8 Contemporary English Version (CEV)  He may not get up and give you the bread, just because you are his friend. But he will get up and give you as much as you need, simply because you are not ashamed to keep on asking.
