Text: 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Chosen generation.
God chose you because you chose to serve him
Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. (Labors in the vineyard).
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen. (Marriage supper).
We the church is the last. Old Testament Israel is the first.
God deals with the many. Those that respond to this call are the CHOSEN.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

You are a royal (holy) Priesthood

Our worship is the spiritual sacrifices.
John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
