Text: Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
What about the Jews? Are they forever lost? Do they have a future with God? Let's take a look at what the scripture says.
We will start with the first verse of this chapter.
Verse one; Peter and John ministers to a man that has been lame from his birth. He is at the gate beautiful begging panhandling. This is his only way of making a living.
Peter and John wanted to help this man, but didn't have any money to give to him, so they gave what they had. Their faith in God.
Verse six; Peter and John didn't ask what church he attended or even if he believed in God. There were no prerequisites or conditions. Peter and John seen that he had a need and knew that Jesus was the healer. So they ministered to him.
Verse seven; Peter assisted the lame man.
Verse eight; The lame man is REALY excited.
Verse thirteen – fifteen; The peoples sins are exposed. They are confronted with the death of Jesus. They MUST face their sins. Everyone MUST face the truth of sin.
Verse seventeen-eighteen; Peter softens the blow of quilt.
Verse nineteen; There is a solution. Repentance is the answer for ALL who sin and that means ALL because All have sinned.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Every creature would include the Jews as well as all other human beings.
Verse 21; Jesus must remain in the heavens until the restitution of all things is made. Then he will return.
What about the Jews today?
Does God hold the Jewish people responsible for the death of Jesus. The answer is NO.
Deuteronomy 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
