WE ARE AT WAR

          Text: 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
          Sober= To be sober, to be calm and collected in spirit
 to be temperate, dispassionate, circumspect.
          Don't allow ungodly thoughts to dwell in your mind.
          Vigilant= To watch, give strict attention to, be cautious, active, to take heed lest through remission and indolence some destructive calamity suddenly overtake one.
          There are people that are going around in depression or in a spirit of discouragement that doesn't understand what's going on.
          Be alert to what is taking place in your mind.
The spirit world is a real world. In the spirit world, there is continual fighting going on. This battle cannot be seen with the natural eye.
How do we fight Satan's attacks?
          2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
           4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds ;)
           5Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
What are our weapons?
          Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
           11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Where is the battle field?
           12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
          The battle is in your mind.
          The evil day is the day that you are having a battle with Satan.
          13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
           14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.
          Wherever you go, be a peacemaker. The Devil hates peace. He likes to keep things stirred up.
          15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
          If you put your faith in God, he will fight the battle for you.
          16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
          When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, he used scripture against the devil.
           17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
          18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
